The Wonderful Christian Experience! Part 7

The Lord is not a God who maintains silence. Speaking to mankind is a top priority with the Lord. From the beginning of time, God has always spoken to His people.

Paul says that in the latter days, God would speak to us through His Son, the Lord Jesus…

When Jesus was on earth, He personally told his disciples that after His departure to heaven that He would continue to speak to us through the person of God, the Holy Spirit (John 14-17).

GOLD & GLORY FLASHPOINT 1:

Today we want to look at possible hindrances and difficulties that have arisen to hinder Christians from establishing a true personal relationship with Holy Spirit, a relationship built on communication from God’s Spirit to us.

God’s commitment to speak to us is so powerful. The word “speak or spoke” in the bible appears 1,141 times. The word “word” appears 697 times in the bible…a combined total of 1,838 times. Here we find almost 2000 confirmations in the bible that God wishes to speak to mankind.

Jesus promised that Holy Spirit would SPEAK to us personally, lead us and guide us into ALL truth…and show us things to come! The term “all truth” applied to our lives would amount to a lot of speaking from the Lord. Right away we can see that there is no communication problem on God’s side. Rather, we as the Church have failed throughout time to hear and receive God’s spoken Word to us.

Last week we touched on spiritual immaturity, which was a real problem in all the early churches of the first century. Some of it was natural because the first generation of the Church was the baby generation.

Peter commanded the Christians to seek the sincere milk of the Word in order to grow up into spiritual maturity. In 1 Corinthians 2 & 3, Paul criticized the Corinthian church in saying that they were still babies, after only three years had expired since they were born again.

Here is the critical point: Paul told these Christians at that time that he “could not speak to them as mature in Christ” but was forced to speak to them as babes. We read over that so quickly…but have we ever thought about how much of the greater things of God Paul could NOT share with them in those days.

The worst situation of immature Christians is seen in the book of Hebrews. Paul wrote the book of Hebrews 30 years after the birth of the Church in Jerusalem. In Hebrews chapter 5, Paul says to the Hebrew Christians that…by this time they ought to be teachers of the Word; yet still they had to be fed with milk only.

The Corinthian Christians had not matured any in their first three years after salvation….

On the other hand, the Hebrew Christians had enjoyed 30 years of Christianity since the outpouring of God’s Spirit in Jerusalem…and they too were still only spiritual infants.

GOLD & GLORY FLASHPOINT 2:

Let’s look at a short list of FIVE very powerful problems that would basically make it impossible for any Christian to have a relationship with Holy Spirit.

1.   Antichrist Christianity – For over 40 years I have preached against “the systems of “Churchianity” since every one of them represents a false form of Christianity. Our book TRUE Christianity is probably the only Christian book in the world that clearly identifies and attacks the false system of Christianity in the Church. In itself, the book TRUE Christianity is the greatest message to the Church to look past the deception of 2000 years identifying the falsehood of antichrist Christianity and then how to get rid of it, as we explain in the book. To destroy antichrist Christianity is to have Holy Spirit help us to remove the old system from our lives, our brains, and our memory! This does not happen overnight, but every Christian who would reject antichrist Christianity through the help of God’s Spirit would eventually be free from every falsified format of Christianity. Then comes the second part of this journey…Holy Spirit will then help every Christian who has rejected antichrist Christianity to discover the secret life of TRUE Christianity with Holy Spirit.

2.   The lie of Jesus’ omnipresence – No other false doctrine has ever been so powerful to destroy truth in the Church of Jesus Christ. The lie that Jesus is omnipresent is a force from the devil that has blinded and hypnotized the Church completely for 2000 years. The Church says that Jesus is omnipresent. The Church tells us to welcome Jesus in our church services. The Church tells us that Jesus lives in our hearts and is always present everywhere. The Church tells us that we can have a personal relationship with Jesus and that He is always going to speak to us. This lie has to be the greatest deception in all of Christianity. Christians are always running around trying to find a relationship with Jesus and to hear His voice. This powerful pursuit of Jesus has CLOSED THE DOOR on Christians to ever look towards Holy Spirit and discover Him as the Person of God who is in the earth…who lives in the hearts of Christians…and who provides personal fellowship for every believer. Why has this lie been so detrimental to us? Because when everyone is chasing after Jesus, nobody is ever going to look for Holy Spirit.

3.   Rejection of the Person of Holy Spirit – For 2000 years the Church has consistently rejected the Person of Holy Spirit. Most Christians today do not even believe that He is a Person. In spite of many powerful revivals throughout time and great Holy Spirit revivals since the year 1900, Holy Sprit is still rejected throughout the Church world. In chapter 10 of our book, God’s Gold & Glory Revolution, we provide a very detailed teaching regarding relationship with Holy Spirit. This 22-page teaching provides all the truth…the answers…and the how-to for every Christian who truly seeks a breakthrough with Holy Spirit in their lives.

To discover Holy Spirit personally is the second most important thing that can happened to any person anywhere. The most important thing is salvation through Jesus…and secondly relationship with Holy Spirit, while Jesus is seated in heaven. This message has always been the #1 message of this ministry and will continue to be until Jesus’ return. How we pray that the eyes of the Church will be opened and to see the truth that Jesus is with the Father and that Holy Spirit lives in the heart of every believer. Also, take the Amplified Bible and slowly read through John 14-17, and ask Holy Spirit to open your eyes to the personal relationship that Holy Spirit offers to every believer.

4.   Spiritual immaturity – As mentioned earlier in this lesson, spiritual immaturity is one of the greatest weaknesses in the Church. It is almost impossible to find ministries that help develop and mature the born-again human spirit…everything is always of the mind, of the intellect, and what makes sense. No wonder Christianity is practiced as a religion of the intellect, and of trying to understand all the Bible in our minds. Babies are not good at communication…and before we can really enter into relationship with Holy Spirit, our spirit needs to grow up and mature. If our spirit is going to fellowship with Holy Spirit, our spirit cannot communicate and have fellowship with Holy Spirit when it is still in its infancy.

In chapter 4 of our book, TRUE Christian Living, we explain how to develop our human spirit to maturity and also how to start fellowship with Holy Spirit once we’ve done some spiritual growth. Next week, I’m going to give you a list of scriptures concerning spiritual growth and how to become spiritually mature.

5.   Spiritual hunger – We can never talk about spiritual hunger enough…it is the driving force of the human spirit! We can never pray enough asking the Lord for more spiritual hunger in our human spirit. Again, I want to reference chapter 4 of TRUE Christian Living, where we deal comprehensively with spiritual hunger and how to receive that from the Lord on a continual basis. I pray that you would go back into that teaching and practice the doing of how to progressively receive spiritual hunger from the Lord. God is love, and everything about God should be about hunger, thirst, desire, love, and passion. Christianity should never be a ritual. It should always be a course of passion!

Jesus said to the people while on earth that they need to hunger and thirst after righteousness in order to be filled by God with all righteousness. The main reason why so many Christians have no hunger for God is because they have failed to pursue the TRUE passion of spiritual hunger with the Lord. Spiritual hunger is the power, the energy and the driving force in our human spirit, forever reaching out to the Lord to receive more of God himself!

I pray that you would take today’s lesson to heart…and “seek the hunger from God” to pursue all FIVE of these points as they may apply to you personally.
