The Wonderful Christian Experience! Part 14

Welcome to this week’s e-Truth teaching!

In everything we do as Christians, we should list things in order of importance, from the most important to the least. Sadly so, Christians are not usually taught to do that with all the activities of the Christian life.

There are basically two different ways by which we can approach everything we do as Christians. The choice of how we live our Christian life in all we do…could be based on or motivated by either PERFORMANCE or PASSION.

GOLD & GLORY FLASHPOINT 1:

When we look at Jesus’ life on earth, we are amazed at how much He was able to do in just three and a half years of ministry. The activity level or performances of all Jesus did is mind boggling. John the apostle confirms that Jesus performed millions of miracles during the Lord’s ministry by telling us that all the books of the world could not contain all Jesus said and did in His ministry.

However…Jesus’ motivation in His ministry was not about volume, performance or the great number of things which He did. Jesus’ motivation in ministry was not measured in performance, but rather in PASSION or great COMPASSION for all people. It is not the motivation of performance which caused Jesus to become a human being to suffer and die for all the sins of the world. It was PASSION…or to be exact, COMPASSION!

Natural life on earth is about volume…about the high number of achievements we are able to reach if we work very hard at everything we do in life. Naturally, hard work in this life is based on PERFORMANCE, or how much we can achieve in our life’s work. The more dedicated we are to our future, the more we strive to perform to the maximum of our ability. This is what natural life rewards, hard work, or basically PERFORMANCE!

As newborn Christians, we quickly learn that in the world of the Church, our focus should simply be the same as in natural life, PERFORMANCE! Naturally, winning souls for the kingdom of God is our top priority, and we should seek to win people to salvation as much as we are personally able to do in ourselves. After 2000 years of winning souls…basically in our own strength…at every opportunity, only 31.7% of the world population are Christian…AGAIN…2000 years of winning souls for the Kingdom and ONLY 31.7% are Christian! No one but the Lord knows how many of these self-confessed Christians are actually born again. In case you did not notice, 31.7% in 2000 years of effort is a FAILURE.

The heart of the problem lies in the SELF or PERSONAL effort of winning souls in our own natural strength. All the time we keep tabs on how many souls we have won, and it almost becomes a competition of who can win the most souls. So here we go again…everything is based upon PERFORMANCE…as we do in natural life, so we do in the Church. Philippians 4:13 becomes this “I can do all things through MYSELF who lives in me,” instead of THROUGH CHRIST! For 2000 years the church has done most things incorrectly about the Christian life. That’s terrible! However, after 2000 years no one seems to register the fact that so many things we do as Christians DO NOT WORK!

Our “methods” do not produce SPIRITUAL POWER…OR SUCCESS!

The Kingdom of God is about PASSION, not performance!

What is God’s priority for every lost person in the world?…PRIORITY…JESUS and salvation; BEING BORN AGAIN with Christ’s eternal life!

What is GOD’S PRIORITY for every newborn Christian? Is it soul-winning? Is it sanctification? Is it working in the Church? Is it preaching the Gospel?…

Most Christians will immediately agree that these priorities I just listed are our immediate and top priorities as a newborn Christian…HOWEVER…

If the above is so, then I present a question to you…WHY did Jesus NOT say so to His disciples? WHY did Jesus NOT give His disciples the same list of Christian priorities that the Church operates by all the time? WHY NOT?

The night before Jesus was arrested, did He spend 2 hours teaching the disciples how to win souls, or how to start a church, or how to preach the Gospel? DID HE? NO, HE DID NOT? Hello!!!

So why do we in the Christian churches teach our new converts these INCORRECT priorities as new Christians. We do so because this is the system of Christianity and its religious hogwash that immediately focuses new Christians on some unscriptural works program producing maximum PERFORMANCE in winning souls. SO CALLED!

What did Jesus prioritize in teaching to His disciples the night He was betrayed? He spent about 2 hours that night teaching His disciples all about the PERSON OF GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT! The new life Jesus gave to His disciples to live accordingly after His departure to heaven would be a life lived in close fellowship PERSONALLY with the PERSON who is God the Holy Spirit. In addition to experiencing Holy Spirit personally in the life of Christianity, Holy Spirit would provide all the guidance, knowledge, instructions revelations anointing and wisdom for EVERYTHING the disciples would need every day of living the Christian life on earth. Twice Jesus commanded His disciples to preach the Gospel after His departure…BUT He took 2 HOURS to instruct the disciples in GREAT detail as to how to live the entire Christian life on earth in a RELATIONSHIP of close fellowship with the third PERSON of God…NOT some angel…no, no…the third PERSON OF GOD who is HOLY SPIRIT!

Once we discover Holy Spirit and start building a relationship with Him, He takes charge of our lives. From that moment on, we need to wait on Him, and become sensitive to His leading and guidance for EVERYTHING in our lives. This is called the spirit-life and to be led and guided by Holy Spirit. Jesus spent two hours recorded in 4 chapters of scripture (John 14, 15, 16,17) to teach His disciples how to live the Christian life after His return to heaven. I know of no church on earth that properly teaches their new converts how to connect with Holy Spirit in Person, and how to live the Christian life in close fellowship with Him.

Here is the pivotal question…Are you a Christian who operates by performance or PASSION? Are you driven by your own fleshly performances and ideas, or are you motivated and moved by the Holy Spirit in all you do? Are you repeating the same old self-made Christianity of your own abilities and performance, or are you always seeking more anointing, more fellowship, and more passion from Holy Spirit? PERFORMANCE OR PASSION? Are you a self-made performer or a Holy Spirit motivated person, full of Holy Spirit and power?

When will the Church at large return to Holy Spirit and submit themselves completely to His authority, power and motivation? This dear friend will not happen until the consuming FIRE of God incinerates all the self-made, ego based, worshipping myself type of ungodly Christianity is burned to a crisp…by the FIRE of God’s judgment of the last days!

Thank you Lord that we know the truth and life of Holy Spirit. Help everyone who is hungry for more Holy Spirit presence in our lives to enjoy you more and more everyday, Lord! Thank you, HOLY SPIRIT! Thank you for anointing us, leading us and filling us always with your Presence and Power. Thank you, HOLY SPIRIT…in JESUS NAME!
