A few years ago we obeyed the Lord in publishing our book, TRUE Christian Living, which is the first of its kind ever published in the Church world. In this book, we made a clear distinction between the Christian life in the soul as opposed to the Christian life in the born-again spirit. ONE part of the true Christian life is lived in the soul which we clearly explained in chapter 3. The SECOND aspect of the true Christian life is about living the Christian life in our born-again human spirit. Living the Christian life in our spirit is far more important and far greater than living it in the soul man, yet both are required for a happy Christian experience with Holy Spirit. I encourage you to get a hold of this book, TRUE Christian Living, and ask the Spirit of the Lord to teach you as you read through it.
Another major problem in the Church is “spiritual immaturity.” As I said before, many Christians responded to my teaching about a Holy Spirit relationship back in the revival days of the 1990’s, however, they grew frustrated over a few weeks and gave up on it. There is nothing we can do as Christians, using our minds, that can positively affect our born-again human spirit.
So many Christians live in the fantasy of meeting Jesus at the Pearly Gate when they die. They picture the teaching of the Church in romanticizing meeting Jesus in heaven. However, the TRUE REALITY is much different from Christian doctrine and fantasies. Most Christians after death arrive in heaven as spiritual babies. They never developed their human spirit, even after many years on earth as Christians from when they were born again.
In I Corinthians 3, Paul tells the Christians in Corinth that although they were born again three years ago, they are still babes in Christ. As Christian infants, Paul could not speak to them in a spiritual fashion, but had to address them in the flesh which is carnal…which is their natural minds. In 1 Peter 2:2, Peter encouraged the newborn Christians to desire the sincere milk of the Word for spiritual growth. In Ephesians 4:13, Paul encouraged those Christians to grow in their faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God unto becoming a perfect man, which here means spiritual maturity of the human spirit in Christ. In the next verse 14, Paul says that having become mature Christians they are no longer spiritual children who are tossed to and fro and deceived by every wind of doctrine that blows into town. In verse 15, Paul continues to say that speaking the truth in love, they may GROW UP in the Lord in ALL THINGS, who is the head even Christ. Paul is talking here about spiritual maturity, since naturally, the Corinthians were already adult people.
The teachings of the Church have destroyed the Church over many years, for mainly two reasons. Firstly, the teachings are not New Testament teachings; and secondly, they only address the soul, the mind, and the intellect. It is nothing more than man-made theology!
Paul WARNED Timothy about this terrible practice. Paul also says that this error caused Christians to always try to learn everything, but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. There are many more scriptures in the New Testament addressing the issues of spiritual immaturity!
