The Witness!

I often think about the ministry of Jesus and the big crowds who followed Him around everywhere. Can you even imagine seeing and experiencing the miracle ministry of our Lord? Thousands upon thousands of people relentlessly followed Jesus.

Wherever Jesus went, these crowds would show up! On at least two occasions, Jesus’ meetings carried on into the night…with the people witnessing the miracle of Jesus multiplying the loaves and fishes to feed the 5,000.

Just think about being an eyewitness to all these miracles of Jesus…

How about Lazarus? The miracle of His resurrection was witnessed by so many, and it literally turned Jerusalem upside down. The Jewish authorities began to fear Jesus. The Roman authorities began to carefully watch Him. Jesus’ popularity and miracles became a threat to all authorities! Nevertheless, so many people witnessed and experienced the great miraculous ministry of our Lord. What an honor it must have been for those who loved Jesus to be witnesses, even eyewitnesses to the miracles that flowed from His hands! The Church is also a powerful witness to the power of God―during her history from the beginning on the day of Pentecost―and throughout time!
Starting with Martin Luther in 1517 and continuing into the 1980’s, God sent five Great Awakenings which were great universal movements of Revival. From 1517 until the present time, so many of God’s people have been witnesses of the works of the Lord and of His power. When I think of the great Joy Revival of the late 1980’s and 1990’s, I’m still baffled and amazed by some of the incredible things that I was able to witness of God’s power. What a sight it was to behold when Holy Spirit would fall on people…and at times in the larger churches, up to a hundred people would be knocked off their feet by the power of God!
From 1990 until 2005, I witnessed the Joy―the Laughter―the Freedom of so many people when God’s power would fall on them. It just kept happening day after day…morning and night services at times…unendingly, for weeks and months and years. In those days, every church where I was invited to preach the Revival, the Lord would do the same thing. Even night after night, He would pour out His JOY all over the house! How humbling to have personally witnessed all the miracles, signs, and wonders during those Revival years. What was happening through our ministry became something extraordinary. Several other revivalists were also running with the same outpouring from place to place―beyond America, into Europe and other continents of the world, indeed as far as Australia, the mighty outpouring of the Joy Revival of the Spirit was in full manifestation! Great multitudes of born-again Christians around the world became eyewitnesses and personal participants in God’s Global Revival of JOY!
Even today, there are still many of us alive and well―and we are still the witnesses of God for the great things He has done! However, witnessing the powerful manifestations of God’s Spirit in Revival is a privilege, but it also makes us responsible as the witnesses of such Revivals. Since the conclusion of the Joy Revival in 2005, the voices of the witnesses of these revivals have also gone silent. Today as we’re standing on the threshold of the NEXT great outpouring of God’s Spirit, GHM is again forerunning and proclaiming what is about to happen!

It is so important that we live and walk in the faith of God as witnesses of the Lord’s ministry. Even though the Joy Revival has been over for almost 20 years, we must not forget, and we must not neglect to revisit the outpourings of God which we have experienced. Besides being refreshed by revisiting our revival memories with the Lord, we must also be a verbal witness to ALL we have received. As such, many people can be encouraged by what God did through the Revival years. Becoming a personal witness to all those who did not experience the Joy Revival is of great importance.
- - It still carries the anointing when we talk about those outpourings of the Spirit.
  - It refreshes us and oftentimes when we talk about the things we have experienced as God’s witnesses, a fresh touch of the Spirit suddenly comes upon us.
Every true witness of the Lord and of the miracles of the recent past carries a powerful testimony to all Christians today. Here is the message. IT IS THE MESSAGE OF THE WITNESS!
We were there. We saw everything. We received the anointing. We were knocked out by the power of God. We were intoxicated by the Spirit of God―sometimes for hours and even days on end! As the witnesses of the previous revival, we carry in our spirit all those things which we experienced. Although most of those experiences are gone from our mind, they are alive and powerful in our spirit.
If we fellowship with Holy Spirit regularly, He will refresh us day by day, by reliving the outpourings we received and witnessed―and at the same time the Lord will use those powerful encounters with His Spirit to build up our spirit man and prepare us for THE great last day Revolution of God that is truly about to happen!
Think about what it means to you to be a witness of the Lord Jesus Christ. Every one of us is a witness with a story that glorifies the Lord. Whether you receive God’s anointing in the many Revival meetings or only limitedly experienced His power; regardless, you are the witness of the Lord. Encourage yourself in the Lord today for all the great things of God that we have witnessed. If you had experienced the Lord’s presence even once in the past, in spite of how many times, you are a witness!
Together we are THE WITNESS of the Lord―of His power, of the urgency of the time, and of the reality that the greatest outpouring of God in the earth is about to start! The times, the seasons, and the time cycles of years are the WITNESS of God to us to confirm that we are standing on the threshold of the great day of God’s Glory in the earth! Thank God for the honor to be God’s witness. When the Fire and Glory is poured out globally, we will experience a NEW adventure of being God’s witnesses.
What happens next will leave all of us speechless! The Fire and Glory of God is now on its way…and again…we will be God’s WITNESSES!
