The Time Period of the Last Days!
Over the last few months, we have been exploring different routes of spiritual truth. On our first pathway, we reexamined the reality of biblical times. We found that the word “time” appears more than 600 times in the Bible.
We came to the conclusion that everything in life has to do with time, or that time regulates all of life’s activities on the earth. In the corporate world, we say that “time is money.” That is true. The greater truth, however, is that time is LIFE! Every activity within the environment of the earth requires TIME to exist or function.
GOLD & GLORY FLASHPOINT 1:
- Our second pathway of discovering new truth concerned the DNA of the Lord Jesus. On this pathway, we found the hidden truths of Jesus’ physical origin. We were shocked to realize that Jesus had NO HUMAN DNA in His blood or His physical body when He was on earth! Our third pathway was about the Person of Holy Spirit. Our third pathway did not get any easier than explaining Jesus’ DNA. This new pathway is a search to discover the Person of Holy Spirit.
- In 1947, Kathryn Kuhlman was the first international ministry to focus pertinently on teaching Holy Spirit as a PERSON. Sadly so, the Church, in 77 years, has not yet accepted Holy Spirit as a PERSONAL Comforter and FRIEND to every individual believer in Christ. In looking at these three pathways that we have covered, we have stumbled across some “brand new biblical truths.” I trust that you all would have the desire to walk again through the territory of these last three pathways upon which we have traveled. There is yet so much more for us to discover on those spiritual routes.
- Today, we embark on pathway number four, simply called “the last days.” Since the Church is completely insensitive and largely ignorant of the times of God in the Bible, much confusion also exists concerning the last days. You may say, Last days of what? I am convinced that the primary reason for the Church to be confused over Bible times is the fact that the Church does not understand “God’s DISPENSATIONS of time,” as outlined in Chapter 3 of God’s Gold & Glory Revolution.
- Here in Chapter 3 of our flagship book, God’s Gold & Glory Revolution, we provided, through Holy Spirit, what is probably the most comprehensive and DETAILED teaching on the Dispensations of God. The Dispensations are specific time periods of God, given to man on the earth. Dispensation One begins with Adam, and the final Dispensation, number Nine, ends at the time of Israel’s final deliverance at the end of the 1,000-year kingdom of Christ here on earth.
- In our teaching on Dispensations, we have taken great care to obey the words of the Lord—to finally provide a teaching comprised of all nine Dispensations of man’s times on the earth. I always pray that God would give the Church a hunger for ALL the relevant truth of the Bible concerning our daily lives as Christians.
- Our chapter on Dispensations will answer every question about the times of man on the earth. To my knowledge, our teaching on Dispensations is the FIRST one to include Dispensation Six, which is the time period from Jesus’ birth until His ascension to heaven.
- When we consider the last days, it’s easy to run into some confusion. Unfortunately and sadly, there is so little that the Church teaches about the times―it is incomplete, confusing, and sometimes even untrue. Again, the answer is Chapter Three, “Dispensations.” Throughout the Word of God, different terms for time can be identified, such as “time,” “times,” “appointed time,” “times appointed,” “latter days,” “last days,” “final days,” “last times,” and “last hour.” Different translations may also provide different terms or words concerning all these different terminologies of “times” that we just mentioned.

GOLD & GLORY FLASHPOINT 2:
- Here is a simple way to identify the “last days” of the Church Dispensation. The time period called “the last days” is the time period that stretches from the birth of the Church in Jerusalem until the return of Jesus on the clouds of glory. This time period consists of two seasons: 1) a former and 2) a latter season. Altogether, this time period endures for approximately 2,000 years. Church teachings at large correctly identify this time period as “The Church Age,” or “The Age of Grace,” or “The Time of Salvation.”
- Generally speaking, the Church seems to be unanimous in her belief that the time of the Church will conclude with a spiritual harvest of many souls to be saved just before Jesus’ return. I think this is one thing that we may all agree on. It is so confusing to think that the Church believes in the soon-coming end-time harvest and even consistently preaches the message of the harvest. On the other hand, there is no organized or united effort made by the Church collectively to prepare for the final outpouring of God’s latter rain, which will produce the end-time harvest!
- At one point in time while on the earth, Jesus rebuked the Pharisees, since although they were able to predict the weather in the sky, they totally failed to identify their present time on the earth and the season of the living Messiah. Really, it is so easy to understand the times of man on the earth. Man’s time can be compared to the week of creation—a day is as a thousand years (Psalm 90:4). It is so simple. Adam to Abraham is 2,000 years, and Abraham to Christ is 2,000 years. The time from the birth of the Church until the present is just over 2,000 years.
- I hope you will look at 2 Peter Chapter 3, where Peter says this: “I am now writing the second Epistle to you so that I may stir up your pure minds as a reminder so that you may be mindful of the words which were formerly spoken by God’s holy prophets and also the commandments of us, the Apostles of the Lord.” WOW! Just reconsider this. Peter says, I really want you to revisit all that I’m going to say to you now (in the rest of Chapter 3 that follows). Here, Peter talks about the last days and that people will lose faith in the truth of Jesus returning for His followers—the Church. If you continue reading here in 2 Peter Chapter 3, Peter says that we should NOT forget the time and that time is measured in a “day is like a thousand years.” So, Peter confirms the comparison of the day to a thousand-year ratio, thus clearly pointing to 2,000 A.D. as the end of the sixth day.
- The prophet Joel prophesied that in the last days God would pour out His Spirit on ALL flesh. There is NO record or evidence of an outpouring of God’s Spirit on any people before the day of Pentecost in Acts Chapter 2. Looking back, the Church was born on Pentecost day, Sunday, June 1, of the year A.D. 32, when the outpouring of the Spirit began. So the last days can now be clearly identified as the time span from the day of Pentecost in Jerusalem until Jesus returns. The time period of two days or 2,000 years has been fulfilled, but the outpouring on ALL FLESH has not been fulfilled.
- How close have we actually come to the final and complete outpouring of God’s Spirit? We will look at this next week. The MOST important thing to know is this: right now the time is REALLY short. The END of all things is at hand, and SO IS the coming of the Lord! Hallelujah! God bless you. Amen!
