The Global Outpouring of Heaven’s Rain!
Every good and perfect gift comes from the Lord above. It comes down from heaven. We look toward heaven and oftentimes ask the Lord for great gifts to be poured down from His throne.
Jesus promised the disciples the outpouring of God’s Spirit after His departure to heaven. The outpouring of heaven’s rain was the first and foremost promise that the Lord had given to His disciples shortly before His departure.
GOLD & GLORY FLASHPOINT 1:
- Before His departure to heaven, Jesus did not focus the disciples on anything else but the promise of the Father to pour out His Spirit on them. The Feast of Pentecost arrived ten days after Jesus’ ascension. The disciples and followers of Jesus were all gathered together in the Upper Room to receive the GREAT GIFT of God’s Spirit poured out upon them like rain.
- The manifestation of heaven’s rain in the Upper Room was glorious! Firstly, Holy Spirit FELL on everybody, and secondly, THE RAIN OF GOD began to FILL UP every person in the Upper Room. The rain from above saturated everyone, whereafter everyone was completely filled up to capacity by the rain of God.
- The result of the first great outpouring of God’s Spirit was CHAOS. After being filled with Holy Spirit, the 120 followers of Jesus filled the streets of Jerusalem, showing forth the power of God which they had just received. It was wild! All the foreigners visiting Jerusalem heard the disciples speaking in their own languages. There was such a commotion on the streets. Peter finally got up and addressed the crowds.
- Peter tried to explain to all the people in Jerusalem what had just taken place in the Upper Room. He came to the defense of the 120 intoxicated followers of Jesus. Peter told the crowd that his friends were not drunk as they supposed. Peter did not deny the fact that the people from the Upper Room were drunk. Rather, Peter stretched the point in saying that they were actually drunk, but not with wine or alcohol. The disciples were drunk as the result of the outpouring of Holy Spirit. They were all intoxicated with the NEW WINE of God’s Spirit.
- What a miraculous blessing the rain of God produced on that first day of Pentecost! It was “glorious chaos.” The outpouring of heaven’s rain is not something that is quiet and controlled by man. In the church world at large, people believe that true revival is supposed to be orderly and controlled by man. There is no such thing as a quiet revival. It is impossible for God’s Spirit to be poured out unnoticeably in some remote corner. The outpouring of the Spirit is great, glorious, and LOUD, producing all different kinds of various manifestations. Jesus’ gift of salvation is God’s GREATEST gift to mankind. The global outpouring of heaven’s rain through God’s Holy Spirit is the GREATEST GIFT for every born-again believer in Christ.
- So, the outpouring of heaven’s rain produces a multitude of manifestations of God’s Holy Spirit. The outpouring of heaven’s rain is not something that the Church can control or regulate or just shove into a dark corner. The organized Church of Jesus around the world is an entity that operates in opposition to the rain of God’s Holy Spirit.
- I still wonder every day why, as Christians, we do not ask for fresh rain every Sunday morning in church. What could be so important to the Sunday morning service that we don’t have time to pray for a fresh outpouring during the service? The organized Church produces an organized program for every Church service. Absent from the program is a time of prayer for the outpouring of the Spirit. Heaven’s rain should be the first and foremost event of every church service, everywhere—all the time!
- Prior to the outpouring of Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost, the meeting in the Upper Room was just a time of waiting for God’s rain from heaven. The disciples in the Upper Room were NOT carrying out a ten-point program during their gathering that morning. Oh no, they patiently waited for Jesus’ promise of the outpouring of God’s spiritual rain.

GOLD & GLORY FLASHPOINT 2:
- It is so sad that churches all around the world have a system of “church,” which is an organized program for the service. Every Sunday they follow the same monotonous dead program and have a one-hour dry cleaning service. They go in dry, and they come out dry! There is no rain in the service. Nobody expects any rain. No one prays for rain in the service. God’s rain is simply ignored and omitted from the program. People arrive at the Sunday morning service, and they leave the service the same way. Nothing changed during the service. There was NO manifestation of Holy Spirit and NO outpouring of heaven’s rain. How sad is that!
- To regulate the flow of the actual church service is not something we, as people, can control, should we give Holy Spirit authority and charge of the service. In 1 Corinthians 14, the Apostle Paul instructed the Church how to flow in the gifts and manifestations of the Spirit during the service. Paul gave specific instructions on exactly HOW to operate the gifts and manifestations of Holy Spirit.
- The flow of Holy Spirit in the service should be like a swimming pool where everybody is playing and enjoying the cool fresh water. Nevertheless, how can we enjoy the water of the Spirit in the church service if the house is not filled with the outpouring of God’s rain at the start of the service? The outpouring of the Spirit should open the service. Once the whole place is filled with the rain of God, then Holy Spirit will begin to orchestrate and coordinate the flow and the gifts of the fullness of the Spirit. However, if there is no outpouring in the service, the Church does not get filled with heaven’s rain. Subsequently, there are no ACTIVITIES and flow of the Spirit since the house is empty and dry.
- Rather than prioritizing the OUTPOURING of the Spirit and the subsequent FLOW of the Spirit, churches all around the world choose a set program that is controlled by man and not the Lord. The result is that the spiritual drought in the Church just continues to get worse.
- When you study the past outpourings and revivals of the Spirit of the 20th century, you find that every great revival STARTED with the OUTPOURING of the Spirit. As the revival continued to grow, men would begin to assume control of the revival itself, which would then QUENCH the Spirit and eventually TERMINATE the outpouring of the Spirit.
- Here at GHM, we are focused on the next outpouring of heaven’s rain. Prophetically, we are so close to the time of the NEW outpouring of heaven’s rain. We pray that Christians and churches all around the world would come into agreement and pray unanimously for a miraculous global outpouring of heaven’s rain. The GREATEST outpouring of the rain of God is reserved by the Lord for the Church in these final years of the Church on earth. Thank you. God bless you.
