MOST Significant Moments in Time…Continued!

In last week’s “Weekly Insights” e-Truths, we embarked on a journey of walking through TIME to pinpoint particular moments of greatness. No journey undertaken through time can be successful IF we fail to understand the operation of TIME.

The function of natural TIME is easy for us to understand. From early childhood on, we learn how TIME operates. The most important formulas of natural TIME are seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years…and then simply, the compilation of 6,000 years of man on Earth.

GOLD & GLORY FLASHPOINT 1:

Last week, in our initial search for great moments in TIME, we considered the lives of both Adams: 1) the natural man Adam, and 2) the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the greatest champion of ALL TIME! There are so many great moments to consider throughout man’s 6,000 years on earth. To assist us in our quest, we are shortening the time by taking a giant leap from Jesus’ earthly life all the way into the 20th century. In the year 1900, several scientists ridiculously and unanimously declared that there were no more future discoveries to look for. Man had simply exhausted the environment of Earth and all that she has to offer. How profoundly ridiculous!

The year 1900 introduced the TIME of the 20th century where more inventions of TIME were achieved from 1900 through 1950 than in all the time from Adam until the year 1900.Unbelievable! The first half of the 20th century surpassed 5,900 years of the development and discoveries of the earth. Since 1950, new inventions and technology have surpassed the wildest dreams of all mankind. Today, we enjoy all the amazing modern inventions of TIME, even to the point that we forget what life was like before we discovered all these inventions and modern conveniences.
Let’s consider for a moment just a few of the great inventions of the 20th century, and their revolutionary impact on earthly life.
- - Think about electricity.
  - The discovery of air traffic by the Wright brothers.
  - As if that was not enough, how about space travel! Instinctively, think of Neil Armstrong, who was the first man EVER to walk on the moon. How amazing!
Now let’s also mention some incredible moments in medical history.
- - The discovery of penicillin.
  - The first heart transplant, and recently the creation of the first artificial heart.
  - How about the impact of the automobile on everyday life.
  - Think about the multiple highway systems, as we find millions of cars on thousands of paved roads around the world.
  - Think about the discovery of television and home computers.
  - What about the discovery of the movie cameras producing movies on film.
Today we have all sorts of computers, the internet, and social media to make contacting the rest of the world quite easy. Just look at where we are today with so many significant discoveries and progress in our earth! Where will it all end?

What about the world of the Church?
If we fail today to recognize the significant moments of the discoveries of history in the secular world, how do we manage to find and emphasize significant moments of Church history in time? In 1900, after almost 2,000 years since God first poured out His Spirit on the earth, the Rain of the Spirit suddenly reappeared and became a constant flow of outpouring throughout the 20th century. This is what we refer to in the Church world as the “Latter Rain Season” of the outpouring of God’s Spirit. With regard to the 20th century, the Church recalls the 1906 outpouring; yet she fails to even identify the worldwide distribution of the outpouring of the Spirit taking place within the time of just one year, 1907! We are definitely talking here about the MOST significant moments in modern day Church history.
Sadly, the Church generally overlooks the great outpourings of the Spirit of the 20th century. In actual fact, they are easy to identify. After 1907 came 1927, then 1947, 1967 and 1987. Sadly so, the Church fails to revisit her greatest moments of history. Likewise, the GREAT Church generals of the 20th century are often overlooked in the great works of ministry which God performed through them. Have we in the Church ever properly identified and celebrated the MOST significant times of Church history of the 20th century?
Among many other great ministries, God sent three principal apostolic ministries to the Church during the 20th century:
- - John Alexander Dowie
  - Smith Wigglesworth
  - Kenneth E. Hagin
On September 19, 2003, the last leading Apostle of the 20 century, Dr. Hagin passed away. Last year in 2023, we remembered that a 20-year cycle of TIME had passed since the departure of brother Hagin. Now we are looking earnestly towards the new outpouring of God’s last day Fire Revival. The last of the GREAT Generals of the Healing Revival to depart the earth was Apostle Don Stewart, who recently left us on January 24, 2024. Apostle Stewart’s passing truly closes the book on the GREAT MOMENTS of the Church during the 20th century. However, in the Church, do we recognize the significant moments, the outpourings of God, and the Generals who have led us and brought us to the present TIME?
Subsequently in the light of all this, we recognize that the MOST significant moments of the Church are RIGHT BEFORE US THIS VERY HOUR! As the Apostle John said in 1 John 2:18, “beloved this is the last hour,” which is where we are in time TODAY.

Let’s look ahead with earnest expectation to the arrival of the MOST significant moments of TIME in the earth, as we are about to step into God’s last day, global revolution of the whole earth! God bless. TBC…
